Five Phony Pillars
The Five Pillars of Islam represent the Five Main Idols of Islam.
1. Salah – Daily Prayer. Jesus Christ instructs us that prayer should not consist of vain, rote, repetitions, nor should it be done in public for a big show of so-called holiness.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matthew 6:5-8.
In defiance of these plain words, Muslim built their religion on daily, meaningless, rote repetitions, done in a large, public group of strangers. Five times a day, Muslims perform an ornate ritual before they recite their meaningless, rote, ramblings. They wash themselves in a particular way, then they raise their hands to their shoulders, they stand for the beginning of the recitation, next they bow down towards Mecca to recite the main part of the prescribed prayer for that time of day, finally they sit upright to finish. To add further confusion to this pointless exercise, most of the prayer is done in Arabic, even for people who do not speak Arabic.
Prayer should be continual and meaningful, full of thanksgiving and requests for spiritual help, to wit:
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Mark 13:31-33.
Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18.
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. Luke 22:40.
2. Shahada – Testimony of faith. All Muslims must recite the Islamic creed “There is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet.” This simple recitation is all that is required for one to officially belong to the Islamic faith. Neither adherence to God’s law nor faith that the Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient to save us from our sins are necessary or even encouraged. In fact, Muslims deny that Christ died and lived again. Again, vain repetitions define this false religious system of idolatrous Christ rejecters. The apostle Paul teaches us that Christ’s crucifixion is the cornerstone of true faith, to wit:
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2.
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 1 Corinthians 1:23.
The crucifixion is a stumbling block to the children of Ishmael as much as it is to the children of Jacob.
Several nations use this oath on their flags, including Doomed america’s puppet nation of Afghanistan. This phrase can be added to the long list of idols Muslims worship in substitution for true service to God Almighty.
3. Zakat – Alms Giving to the Poor. All Muslims who are able to afford it must give 2.5 % of their earnings to the poorer people in their community. They hold themselves up as holy for this act as an example of works righteousness. Christ commands us to not worship ourselves for service to help the poor.
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Matthew 26:6-11.
Further, Christ defines the poor as the servants of God. Muslims do not help the servants of God in their mission to preach the true bible gospel and therefore they are with the goats, headed straight for Hell.
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25:32-46.
4. Sawm – Ritual Fasting. Again Muslims make a big public fuss about their so-called piousness by engaging in rote fasting during prescribed times. During the Month of Ramadan, the fast is obligatory. Other fasts scheduled throughout the year are optional and on some days Muslims are prohibited from fasting. The Lord Jesus handed down guidelines for fasting:
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:16-18.
Before fasting, Muslims must recite a vain oath declaring their intentions. Fasts generally end with big, celebratory, communal feasts. The purpose of a fast ought to be to seek God’s counsel or blessings regarding specific matters through disciplined prayer. Such spiritual needs cannot be scheduled nor should they be done in a pompous, public manner.
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:9-14.
5. Hajj – Pilgrimage to Mecca. At least once in their lifetime, all able-bodied Muslims must make the pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia and walk 7 times around the Kaaba. They claim that Mecca is the holiest city in the world and no non-Muslims are allowed in the city as they may “pollute” it. This contradicts what the Lord Jesus tells us about the importance of place:
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20.
A church of the Lord Jesus Christ does not recognize any “holy sites” as such are idols:
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Acts 17:24.
The Apostle Paul tells us that the Word of Christ is near us at all times and in all places for the faithful:
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:6-9.
Mecca is where rampant idolatry and lies about the Bible come into full bloom. To get the full flavor of the animal sacrifice, “stoning of Satan”, and worshipping the mammoth black cube the Kaaba, I would recommend taking a look at the informative and free documentary Inside Mecca, found here (about 44 minutes long): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-797266757108756953. Read these scriptures that refute such false doctrine as these:
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey (the LORD GOD of the Bible) is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God [.]
